A Parcel in the Mail

On Friday, we got a parcel slip in the mail. It turned out to be Little Snicker's Christmas present:

How cool are they? A pair of pixie bookends from the ever-talented Gary of Bentsticks, who makes timeless toys out of fallen tree branches.

I think they are just perfect for holding our Enid Blyton books:

and I love how the little doors open up:

Kind of makes me want my very own set. These will be in our family for a long time to come, that's for sure!

  1. Omgoodness! Those are AWESOME! They would work great in Logan and Lucas (new baby's) room too! It's all woodland animal themes... check it out!

I love your quilt too! You have quite the patience! I don't think, at this stage in my life, that I would be able to do something like that. It's all about the works that get done in two days or less with 3 1/2 homeschooled kiddos. But your work is BEAUTIFUL!

    Blessings,

  2. These are adorable. I would have loved these bookends in my room when I was a kid. And now that it looks like I've passed my book obsession on to my daughters, I'm thinking about getting a similar set for them. Thanks for sharing!
